Despite receiving no public subsidy, John Eliot Gardiner and the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestras have been an inspirational and innovative force on the music scene for over 40 years.
At the core of our mission is John Eliot Gardiner's profound belief in the importance of promoting and nurturing young creative talent. Alongside the more experienced and established performers, young singers and instrumentalists are given a platform to develop and showcase their skills. A prime example of this is Gardiner's method of essentially handpicking a choir of talented singers, many of whom have the potential to step out and take on a solo role. This has always been a unique and innovative trait of The Monteverdi and something of which we are extremely proud.
Our projects are ambitious, and without the loyalty, generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters we would not have been able to achieve such longevity. We are extremely grateful to the individuals and companies who enable us to continue our work and who help us to secure the music making and future of the Monteverdi ensembles.
With some most exciting projects planned for the next few years, we need your support now more than ever before.
There are many ways in which you, as an individual, can support us: join the Friends of Monteverdi at the level that suits you best; sponsor a concert, a concert series or tour; support the development of a special project or volunteer your time and skills to the Monteverdi office.
If your company is interested in being associated with a world-class arts organisation and you would like to entertain your partners, clients and staff, please visit our corporate opportunities page.
Each contribution, however small, is greatly appreciated and will give you a unique opportunity to develop a close relationship with our performers and to gain access to a wide range of exclusive benefits.
