American Friends of The Monteverdi
American Friends of The Monteverdi Choir and Orchestras, Inc. was established in 1999 to support Monteverdi ensembles' concert tours and related activities in the United States.
"Touring has always represented a major aspect of the Monteverdi ensembles’ work and we have performed throughout Europe, the US and the Far East. All this was undertaken without any significant public funding. Our success is largely due to the generosity of individuals, corporate supporters and charitable trusts. However, in today’s uncertain economic climate, touring is becoming more and more difficult. I therefore urge you to support us by joining the American Friends of the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra and play your part to ensure we can continue to perform live concerts in the USA.”
Sir John Eliot Gardiner
