Support Monteverdi Choir & Orchestras Ltd.

Proms 2011 resizeWe receive no government subsidy and rely entirely on the generosity of our Individual, Corporate and Trust and Foundation donors to continue our work. This support enables us to provide unique opportunities to hear the work of Sir John Eliot Gardiner and his ensembles. Founded and directed by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, the Monteverdi ensembles: the Monteverdi Choir, English Baroque Soloists, and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, constitute a unique combination; working independently of each other but also as equal partners with a remarkable synergy. The ensembles create a lyrical intensity of sound; challenging audience expectation of classical music.

We strive for excellence in everything we do. Our musicians are world-renowned specialists in historically-informed performance, playing period instruments to enhance audience experience, and recreate a faithful translation of the composers' intentions.

      - Offer talented young musicians the opportunity of intensive professional training through our Apprentices Programme
        - Achieve worldwide recognition
