1996                               Semi-staged performances of Beethoven Leonore
in Ferrara, Lille, Amsterdam, Ludwigsburg, New York, London (BBC Proms) and Salzburg

1997                               “Schumann Revealed” 
Two-part festival at the Barbican and Cité de la Musique in Paris, leading to the complete recordings of Schumann’s symphonies and the oratorio Das Paradies und die Peri (Recorded by Deutsche Grammophon)

including fully staged productions of Gluck's Orphée and Alceste (1999), Verdi's Falstaff (2001), Weber's Oberon (2002) and the first complete performance of Berlioz's Les Troyens (recorded live for FR3 and DVD)


2003                               Berlioz L'Enfance du Christ at the BBC Proms
with the Monteverdi Choir

2007-2008                               “Brahms: Roots and Memories”
Together with the Monteverdi Choir, a tour setting Brahms’ four symphonies in the context of his most significant choral works.

For the first time a group of 8 young musicians join the Orchestra as part of the Monteverdi Apprenticeship programme
